Rare Alter Egon gig

This Monday night I had the great honor of experiencing an Alter Egon gig. Those of us who are fans of genetalia rock knows that this is not a common thing, since Mr Egon is a very busy guy.
So the busride to Uppsala was worth it! Although it broke down so we stood still on the freeway for half an hour... haha great... didn't think I would make it on time! I met Sara (dïethead) and a friend of hers at the station and we arrived at Grand just in time for the first bands performance!
Wreckless was okay. They have potential, but need more experience. They'll get there :)
The second band was Abrunn who really took me by surprise! I've listened to their songs on MySpace but must say I prefered the sound at the gig, which was acoustic. They had the important ability of making the crowd laugh when something went wrong. Which it did quite often as they hadn't had much time to rehears ;) Their happy-go-lucky performance and sweet songs made me a fan and I wish them the best of luck.

While waiting for Alter Egon to hit the stage, I sat down with Liz, Anna and a girl who happened to be from Paris! She's a Crashdïet fan and is going to the same gig as us in December. She was so sweet and promised to help us when we get there, since barely no one in France speaks english... I can't believe how lucky we were to meet her!

I truly enjoyed seeing Alter Egon live for the first time, he kicked ass of course and played for a good half hour! Some of the songs he played was "Könsrockare", "En dator måste man ha" & "Jag är Alter Egon".
Challenge yourself by listening to his music. Drop all of your prejudice thoughts and open your mind...
Afterwards we wanted to go and have a drink somewhere. After driving around for some time we finally found a place that was open. Bu it was too late for me to stay because I had to take the last bus home. But hey... at least I got a nice ride around in the city, haha! (stubborn optimist)
Big thanx to Liz who gave me a ride to the bus station! :)

30 challenges in 30 days - 6

If this was my last day...
I would spend as much time as I could with my sister. We are so much alike and share a sense of humor that is pretty rare :P During the evening I would go to Stockholm and make sure that as many of my friends as possible were there, from all over the world. There we would listen to the best kind of rock music, laugh, drink, act goofy and enjoy life like we always do on those nights. Since this would be a rock party, no one would be forced to dance. There would be a requirement though to bang your head.

Gilby Clarke - Scandinavian tour

After all of these years it's finally time for Gilby Clarke to go on a Scandinavian tour. About time, don't you think? ;)
This talented musician has been in the industry since the 80's, starting with the band Candy. In 1991 he moved on to bigger things and replaced guitarist Izzy Stradlin in Guns N Roses and toured with the band for three years until he decided to debut as a solo artist. Since then he's released seven solo albums and played in two other well known bands called Slash's Snakepit and Rockstar: Supernova (Gilby was one of the judges in a TV talent show to pick out the singer).

And now he's coming to visit us here in Scandinavia! I'd sure like to attend the gig in Stockholm, but it's a school night so that probably won't happen ;) Luckily he's playing a gig here in Västerås a couple of days before Stockholm so me and Kiki are planning on going. Hope to see some fellow rock 'n rollers there!

Peace and Love everybody...

Summer is almost over and the only thing I can think of is the Peace & Love festival. Talk about a crazy time, but wonderful. I went there with Kiki on one of the days, met a few friends and enjoyed the good music at club Bolanche. I went there again two days later and realised what festivals are all about (yeah I figured out a biiig secret and I won't tell you what it is, mohahaha.....). I didn't plan to see Journey but that night was totally spontaneous so me, Björn and Ryan saw their amazing performance. I was blown away. their new singer is so charismatic... and that voice, wow! If they come to Sweden again I have to see them!!

I also saw this dude live for the first time this summer. At Gröna Lund.
Lord knows I have to see him perform again some day ;)

30 challenges in 30 days - 5

I'm back folks! All thanks to Hellen who was sweet enough to help me with the layout :)
It's a nice way to start writing again!

What is love?
To me, love is being scared.
It might sound sad and horrific, but how can you not be scared when you devote yourself to someone with all of your heart? And no relationship is perfect. You know there'll be ups and downs. And sometimes your love is unrequited. That is why you're scared. But it can also be the best experience of your life. And that is why you're being brave about it. Not all people are brave though. I am one of those who tend to run off when things starts getting serious because I feel like I'm loosing control. Although lately I have learned that it doesn't have to be that way. If you have open and honest conversations about what you except out of your relationship with someone, I believe you are lowering the odds of getting hurt. Because you are both on the same page. It doesn't have to be serious. It can be unserious too. And that is okay.
