Rock n Roll Heaven

The Peace & Love festival doesn't start until tomorrow, but I know that there's already a big crowd setting up their tents at the camping. At this years festival there will be some new fun sections that you can check out! Like Rock n Roll Heaven. This is located outside of the festival area at the club Bolanche and will be open from 19:00-02:00 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
You will have to buy a separate ticket (a cheap one) to get in and you must be over 18 years old. But with bands like Casablanca, Sahara Hotnights and Hardcore Superstar playing it'll be worth it ;) I'll be there myself on Thursday and Saturday!

YouTube

I managed to fix my other YouTube account today as well! It's been giving me a hard time this past year, but now I have regained control over it ;) On the first one I will post videos from gigs I've been to. And on the other one I will post "private" videos. Right now it's mostly from my childhood :)

Check it out!

Why working with kids?

I have been studying to become a kindergarten teacher for a whole year now. At the beginning it felt as if though this education would take forever, but time flies when you're having fun! The difference between high school and college is of course that you have chosen an occupation. If you are 100 % sure that this is what you want to work with in the future, then the education will be an experience of a lifetime! It'll be exiting, interesting and self-fulfilling. Even though I can not wait to get 'out there' and start working I'm trying to enjoy the 2½ years I have left in college. I'll be working for the rest of my life anyway so why not try and appreciate this wonderful school that I'm going to? I'm lucky to be surrounded by so many wise teachers and classmates.

But of course the time I get to spend at the pre-school is what means the most. We get to spend six weeks every year at a pre-school, working with the kids and their teachers. I have a terrific supervisor who gives me lots of advice and encouragement! Every time I go back there the kids throws themselves on me and my heart just melts. So many people asks me how I can stand those small, loud and annoying little creatures...
Well, it's easy. Because 85% of the time they are just small, innocent, curious creatures who wants to understand the world. How can I dislike seeing the world through their eyes every single day? A world that is full of magic, possibilities and questions that are never too stupid to ask.
Everything that exists is worth exploring.

A post from my Swedish blog that I wrote in December/2010:
One of the older boys asked everyone to watch him while he blew some air into his closed fists and when he opened them, there was a sticker inside. Of course he had put it there before, but the kids around the table looked very surprised. I observed one of the younger boys who mumbled "wow...".
He put his fists together and held them real tight. Then he closed his eyes and blew in air with every little ounce of hope he had that the trick would work. When he opened up his hands I saw the disappointment in his eyes and gave him a smile. He smiled back.

Crashdïet at Rock for Moc

This Friday I drove to Finnåker to see the Crashboys. They were going to play at the Christian festival Rock for Moc.
As you can imagine, it wasn't exactly your typical Crashdïet audience ;)
But the guys did great and got the crowd going with the help of a bear... haha, yeah... a bear. Just check out the videos on my newly updated YouTube-channel. I finally got to hear "Queen Obscene" and "It's a miracle" live! Plus Simon drove his chopper right behind me, you can kind of hear me scream in this video (1:10) because I was so surprised to see him there :P I just felt something moving behind me and he passed right by... that bike is so awesome ;) haha!

I talked to Peter for a while afterwards and got my new Crashdïet T-shirt (so nice of him to make sure it got signed, the only one who got away was Mr Sweet, haha!). Finally I got the opportunity to say thank you to Simon as well for what he's contributing with in the band. I said it real quick. But to make a short story long it was actually because of him that I got into Crashdïet in the first place. And that opened up a whole new world to me that was all about glam and sleaze. I've made new friends all around the world this past year, just because we are all Crashdïet fans and hangs out at their forum. Sometimes I wonder if the band actually knows how much they mean to all of us. But maybe it's good that they don't, since that would probably ruin that humble we-take-nothing-for-granted look they have on life.

Now I'm stuck with you forever without remedy...

20 days in 2 minutes

The blog has been quiet for the past 20 days becuase I haven't been in the mood at all to write. Not that anyone seems to care. Oh well, some do. Don't know why people keep reading even though I haven't posted anything :P Thx for stopping by though!
So instead of writing twenty blogposts I thought I could just sum it all up in one. Or two.

Well I went to the Big Rock Summer Kick Off that I'd done lots of promotion for! And it happened to be just as fun as I had promised it'd be ;) haha, lucky shot? I think not! All the events that Roxie 77 are involved in turns out great!
Although this night was special. Just magical. And I also discovered a new band. Besides from Roxie 77, Spitchic, Lizette and July there was a fifth band called Ruh. I recommend you guys check out their song "Bloodhound". It screams The Killers.

Roxie 77
I would like to thank everyone who showed up that night! It was absolutely wonderful!

Between a couple of gigs I managed to squeeze in some studying. Let's be honest, it wasn't really what I had prefered to spend my time on. Especially not since most students already were free from school. Me and some other classmates were stuck with some leftovers = failed exams. But I think I did well on them so hopefully I'll pass this time! Things haven't been all bad though. I got myself a job all of a sudden ;) Without even asking for one! During July I'll be taking care of two adorable girls while their parents are working. I really hope the weather will be nice so we can do some fun summer activities outside! :)

Also, congratz to my 'little' sister who graduated from high school last week!!

Acoustic Manboy

Think what you want about Eric Saade.
And whatever the heck a "manboy" is... I don't know...

But I still think he sounds great in this acoustic version of the song :)
